The Colorado Department of Revenue has revealed that casinos generated just under $96 million in revenue in June 2025, a 2.9% rise compared to the same month the year prior. Colorado casino revenue reports split revenues by game type and region, rather than by casinos, as seen in other US states. Slot games produced $82.6 million of the total revenue, a 2.8% increase year-on-year. Meanwhile, table games added $13.3 million, a rise of 4.2%.
Of the 33 commercial casinos operating in Colorado, those in Black Hawk dominated the statewide total, generating $72.9 million in June 2025 compared to $70.8 million in June 2024, an increase of 3%.
Cripple Creek posted the most significant revenue increase, collecting $16.2 million compared to $15.2 million. Around 94% of that revenue came from slots.
Casinos in Central City saw revenues fall year-on-year, dropping by 12% from $6.9 million to $7.8 million. However, Central City casino revenue only accounted for around 7% of the statewide total, so this didn’t stop overall casino revenue from growing.
It wasn’t all bad news for Central City, as year-on-year revenues fell, the region increased casino revenues by 10% compared to May 2025.
Up and down year
While June 2025 is positive for Colorado casinos, the rest of the year has been a rollercoaster. The first two months of 2025 embodied that. In January, casino revenue dropped by nearly 15% month-on-month, dropping to $80.9 million.
However, February casino revenue reached $84.2 million, a 4.2% increase month-on-month. The June total shows how casino revenues have steadily increased as the year has unfolded.

Sports betting receives Hard Rock Bet boost
The number of Colorado sports betting apps has also grown recently. Hard Rock Bet launched its online sportsbook in Colorado in July, making the Centennial State the ninth to support the betting platform.
The Hard Rock Bet launch gave players access to the Legendary Rewards Drop feature, where players can get bonus bets, parlay insurance, and weekly customized promotions through a loyalty program. The more players bet with the platform, the more enhanced benefits are available.
Hard Rock Bet joins a thriving online sports betting market. Super Bowl 59 saw Colorado break its sports betting record on the event, with $48.3 million in wagers on the big game. That was a 4% rise from the year before. Significantly, 61% of the betting handle came from same-day bets.
